to offer varsity bowling. The sister schools are competing in the Sussex County Interscholastic League but will

its first-ever match on Monday, December 1 while Morris Hills dropped a 7-0 decision to Sparta, one of the preseason
favorites to capture the league title. |
| The competition was the first utilizing the new scoring format adopted for
Sussex County Interscholastic Bowling this season after three teams tied for the league title last year. |
| Morris Knolls followed up the Hopatcong match with a 5-2 victory over High
Point and edged perennial league power Lenape Valley 4-3 on Thursday. In the win over the Patriots, Dan Siegelman
opened with a spare and followed with 11 straight strikes to post a 290 in the opening game. His teammate Jim Pierson
fired a 256 in the third game. |
| Morris Hills recorded its first varsity "W" on Wednesday, December
3 when the Scarlet Knights rolled to a 5-2 win over Newton. The Hills produced a balanced lineup topped for a 601
effort from Jack O’Shea on games of 190-224-187. His four teammates all surpassed the 500 plateau. |
