| J.P. LaForte tossed a one-hitter as Parsippany defeated Dover 7-1 in an
Iron Hills Conference - Hills Division baseball game on Friday afternoon in Dover. LaForte whiffed three and issued
four walks in gaining his first "W" of the season after suffering three setbacks. Justin Racz powered the attack, going 2 for 4 as he smashed a two-run homer in the first and added an RBI single in the second as the Red Hawks surged out to a 4-0 lead and ultimately led 7-0 after six innings. Racz went 2 for 4 the next day when the Red Hawks defeated West Morris 10-9 on Saturday in Long Valley. Racz relieved with one out in the bottom of the seventh and picked up a save as Dan DiCicco notched the win to improve to 3-2. LaForte and Vinny Marchese legged out two baggers as the Red Hawks batting order collected 11 hits. |
